Chateau Domeyne

St. Estephe

In 2006, Chateau Domeyne was purchased by Claire Villars Lurton--owner of Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal and Chateau Ferriere--and her husband, Gonzague Lurton--owner of Chateau Durfort Vivens. They poured all their energy and know-how into elevating Chateau Domeyne’s quality and reputation within the appellation.

Their vineyards cover 8.3 hectares near Chateau Calon-Segur, comprised of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% Merlot, with an average age of 40 years. They rest on the ridges and plateaus of Saint-Estephe’s well-draining soil, composed of clay and limestone. As a result, the wines develop round, fleshy tannins, beautiful depth of color, powerful structure, and great aromatic finesse.
