Tasting Notes

Straw yellow with greenish highlights in appearance, this wine shows a rich and lingering nose of floral, fruit, and subtle bread notes, and a clean-cut, full-bodied palate with emphatic fruity flavors and fine acidity.

Cultivation

Hand-harvested from mid-August to mid-September.

Vinification

Gentle, gradual pressing of clusters with fractioning of the must; alcoholic fermentation in steel vats. Assemblage of the cuvée in the spring following harvest, with the addition of 10% reserve wines from previous vintages. Second fermentation in the bottles.

Aging

Maturation on the lees for a minimum of 18 months, followed by an additional 2 months after disgorgement and filtration.

Berlucchi, founded in 1955 by Count Guido Berlucchi and winemaker Franco Ziliani, pioneered Franciacorta as Italy’s first traditional-method, bottle-fermented sparkling wine, establishing a legacy of innovation that continues today. Each glass reflects uncompromising quality, crafted under some of the world’s strictest standards for yields and aging, while estate vineyards are certified organic and sustainability is promoted across all partners. Led now by the children of Ziliani, Berlucchi combines luxury and precision with environmental stewardship, producing sparkling wines that celebrate both the region’s heritage and a forward-looking commitment to excellence.
