Tasting Notes

Intense straw yellow in appearance, this wine offers a rich, multi-layered nose of peach, apricot, and tropical fruit, with tangy acidity and savory flavors on a full, firm palate, finishing clean-cut and lingering for a wine of rare pleasure.

Cultivation

Hand-harvested during the second half of August.

Vinification

Gentle, gradual pressing of clusters with fractioning of the must; alcoholic fermentation in steel vats. Assemblage of the cuvée in the spring following harvest, with the contribution of 10% reserve wines aged in barriques and tonneaux. Second fermentation in the bottles.

Aging

Maturation on the lees for a minimum of 24 months, followed by an additional 2 months after disgorgement and filtration. The lower overpressure in the bottles (5 atmospheres) typical of Satèn endows it with a creamy elegance.

Berlucchi, founded in 1955 by Count Guido Berlucchi and winemaker Franco Ziliani, pioneered Franciacorta as Italy’s first traditional-method, bottle-fermented sparkling wine, establishing a legacy of innovation that continues today. Each glass reflects uncompromising quality, crafted under some of the world’s strictest standards for yields and aging, while estate vineyards are certified organic and sustainability is promoted across all partners. Led now by the children of Ziliani, Berlucchi combines luxury and precision with environmental stewardship, producing sparkling wines that celebrate both the region’s heritage and a forward-looking commitment to excellence.
