Tasting Notes
It presents an intense ruby color with elegant garnet reflections. The nose is complex and aromatic, offering layered notes of spice, currant jam, and tobacco. On the palate, it displays remarkable aromatic persistence, supported by a strong structure, distinctive minerality, and a bold, unmistakable personality.
Cultivation
Hand-harvested beginning on October 21st, one of the latest in Italy. Sadly, this harvest was the last one alongside Elena's grandfather Generoso who purchased the land in 1960.
Vinification
Grapes are selected, destemmed, and fermented mostly whole in untreated terracotta amphorae from Impurenta (Florence) at controlled temperature, with 12–13 days of skin maceration, continuous delestage, soft 1-atm pressing, and malolactic fermentation in terracotta.
Aging
Aged for 18 months in amphora of 700 lt in untreated terracotta, followed by an additional 6 months in bottle.

The Fucci family has lived on their estate in Basilicata since 1960, when Elena Fucci’s grandfather purchased six hectares of vineyards at the highest point of Contrada Solagna in Titolo, at the foot of Mount Vulture, an extinct volcano. In 2000, as the family prepared to sell the property, Elena made the decisive choice to preserve the land, transforming a former bulk-wine estate into an award-winning, terroir-driven winery. A bold and energetic visionary, she devotes herself exclusively to Aglianico, the “King of the South,” farming Mount Vulture’s oldest vines—some over 70 years old—on dark, mineral-rich volcanic soils. This singular terroir, paired with Elena’s uncompromising leadership, yields wines of striking depth, character, and authenticity.
