Tenuta Sant’ Helena
Fantinel, founded in 1969 by restaurateur and hotelier Paron Mario Fantinel, has grown from a small agricultural venture in Friuli’s Collio region into an internationally acclaimed winery, now led by the third generation: Marco, Stefano, and Mariaelena. At the heart of the portfolio, Tenuta Sant’Helena represents the estate’s most precise expression of Collio terroir, shaped by a rare microclimate between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea and the region’s signature Ponca soils, which lend structure, minerality, and aging potential. Through a philosophy rooted in passion, tradition, and innovation, alongside focused clonal research and intentionally limited production, Tenuta Sant’Helena crafts refined, aromatic wines that capture the authenticity, elegance, and distinctive character of Friuli.
Our Relationship
I don’t recall exactly how I met Marco Fantinel, but every day since has been memorable. He is incredibly dynamic in the market and a true ambassador for Friuli.
